ANCHAL PROJECT

Anchal has trained and employed over 150 women to date.
They currently employs 77 artisans and 5 project assistants.
At the heart of Anchal is a commitment to addressing women’s inequality by taking a holistic approach to employment and education. This holistic approach helps women support her entire family and breaks the cycle of subjugation and poverty that would otherwise filter down to their children’s future and life opportunities.
Artisans earn 25%-100% more working with Anchal.
70% of the women now are considered the primary breadwinner of the family.
“My husband tries to tell me that I can’t go to work. But I make the money now. So I say no, I have to work. It’s my money & it’s my future.” – Naravani
